In 2025, s-peers AG was named a kununu "Top Company" for the fifth consecutive year. This success is based on a strong corporate culture and a clear focus on employees. We spoke with Marita Köpper, Head of HR and CFO at s-peers, about how the company is continuously improving the working conditions for its team and the role that the innovative peersPeopleFramework plays in this.
Congratulations on winning the kununu "Top Company" award for the fifth time in a row! That's an impressive achievement. What is the secret behind this repeated success, and how does s-peers AG manage to maintain such high levels of satisfaction within the team?
Marita Köpper: Thank you very much! We are delighted to receive this award, because it comes directly from our team and is therefore the most honest recognition you can get. There is no secret, really. For us, it's crucial that the "basics" are right—fair compensation, exciting tasks, and a safe working environment. Building on that, we create "benefits" that offer real added value. All these advantages and framework conditions are anchored in our peersPeopleFramework, which serves as a guide for our continuous development.
You mentioned the peersPeopleFramework. Can you briefly explain the four pillars on which it is based?
Marita Köpper: Certainly. The framework is based on four pillars. The first is performance, which covers fair pay, transparent career paths, training opportunities, and, of course, all the basics of labor law. The second pillar, analytics excellence, brings together our technical expertise—from SAP and Google to innovative AI projects. The third pillar is culture. It encompasses leadership, communication, transparency, our social commitment, and sustainability. The fourth and particularly important pillar is health. This includes topics such as the modern workplace, mental health, smart benefits, and our flexible take-time model. Personally, all four pillars are very important to me, because only when they work together can they create a working environment in which everyone feels comfortable and can flourish.
"For us, it's clear: the basics have to be right. But genuine appreciation and a sustainably successful culture can only be created through flexible benefits that put people at the center."
Marita Köpper, CFO & Head of HR at s-peers AG
That sounds very comprehensive. You mentioned that the "Health" pillar has grown particularly strongly and is very popular with employees. What specific measures and benefits have you established here?
That's right, the health sector has grown enormously. One of our most popular offerings is the Take Time model. Here, employees can convert money into additional vacation days or, conversely, sell vacation days. People's life situations and priorities vary: those who are building a house are happy to have more money, and those who are planning a long trip simply buy five or more extra vacation days. Another huge success is Hansefit, our corporate fitness subscription, which we introduced in 2025. I am proud to say that almost 50% of the team is already participating—and the trend is rising. I am particularly pleased about this because fit companies need fit teams. But there are also very essential things that are part of this, such as first aid courses for emergencies involving children and adults, or our rescue station with a defibrillator. Safety in the workplace is a fundamental need that we take very seriously.
This shows how much you care about the overall well-being of the team. Let's take a look into the future: What are your plans for the coming year to further expand your offerings?
We always have new ideas! One topic we want to focus on even more in the coming year is mental health. Mental health is just as important as physical health. We are planning various offerings in this area, such as a "Sleep Well" workshop, to give the team tools they can use to find balance and relaxation even during stressful times. So things will continue to be exciting, and we will continue to listen closely to what our team needs.
Thank you very much for these exciting insights, Ms. Köpper. It's great to see how committed s-peers AG is to promoting the satisfaction and health of its team.
