Setting up mass data upload
The mass data upload is divided into two main areas, for which various functions are available to the user.
Input:
The input includes a mask that allows values to be uploaded via copy & paste. The user selects an area (e.g., planning area such as HR or COGS), which determines the required structure for the mask. The user then sees the structure the Excel file must have. In addition, the user can use individual settings to specify which decimal format is used or which scaling the data should receive.
Before uploading, a button can be used to check whether data already exists for the selected elements. This ensures that existing data can be reviewed before being overwritten by a new upload.
Another button allows the data to be loaded into the model. The table is then automatically filtered to the dimension elements used, so that the changes are immediately visible.
Review:
The data can be easily analyzed and checked for changes in a table immediately after uploading. In addition, there is a special review area that enables a more detailed examination of the uploaded values at a granular level. In this area, for example, various filters can be applied, comments can be added, and the values can be displayed in both local and global currencies.
