Which IT cliché would you like to dispel?
There are various stereotypes about people who work in the IT industry. From nerds to people who wear glasses to introverts. The origin of these clichés is unclear to me. But the fact is that they don't apply to the entire IT industry and especially not to us.
If you meet a computer scientist, you should not hesitate to have a conversation with him/her that is not necessarily related to computers. You will be surprised to find that 99% of these stereotypes do not apply.

Which IT cliché would you like to dispel?
I firmly believe that women should recognize their own abilities. We shouldn't be afraid to prove ourselves in the IT industry. By doing so, we can change the outdated image that technology is only for men. I lack female role models in technical positions - and I want to be one myself. Together, we can reshape the image of the IT industry. The IT world is more than technology - it's about change, inspiration and opportunity!

Which IT cliché would you like to dispel?
IT workers are men of advanced age who sit alone, without human contact, working on their tasks and spend their time at their self-built gaming computer, even after work.
Yet the world of IT is very colorful - just like the people who live in it. Especially in consulting, contact with our customers and colleagues is indispensable. And for me personally, I'm offline after work, and my personal laptop is so old that it takes half an hour to boot up.

- In general: that IT is a purely male domain.
I cannot confirm this in the many years that I have been working in this industry. Of course, there are exceptions and in the past (before 1995) this may have been the way it was perceived.
What I perceive today is: teamwork, common goals, exchange, a mutual transfer of knowledge and of course... that the proportion of women at s-peers AG is very respectable.
