Project Diary of the Automatic Extrapolation Project with Sensirion
In sales, Sensirion relies on strategic cooperation with its distribution partners, who sell the various products from the Sensirion portfolio in their respective target markets. The strategic projects that are important for further business development are assigned to the Sensirion organisation in direct sales. As these are very complex products that require explanation, expert knowledge in the individual markets is crucial. There are currently approx. 1500 active projects (product x distribution partner).
A reliable forecast is needed here for smooth planning processes. Furthermore, with the aim of saving time and being able to free up personnel resources tied up by the previously very time-consuming manual process for other important tasks, Sensirion commissioned s-peers AG as SAP Analytics Manufacture to create an automated 4-year forecast. In addition to financial planning, forecasting is of crucial importance for capacity planning (utilisation of production and personnel).
