The Sparc process is at the beginning of the evaluation and provides the appropriate spark for the project kick-off. Here, Sparc stands for the following terms with the following sequence within the project cycle:

How does the workshop work?

For the preparation of the workshops, the following tasks are carried out by the project management and with the support of s-peers fulfilled:

  • Naming of the departments and their participants as well as their functions for the workshops 
  • Selection of general and/or specific questions as well as possible addition of customer-specific questions (optional) 
  • Determination of the evaluation (scoring) based on the definition of evaluation groups (general and/or specific) and their evaluation criteria (very good, good, middle, bad, very bad) as well as weighting of the evaluation criteria (score 0 to 10) 
  • Planning of the workshops (time and format)

Success depends on a common focus

The scoring for SPARC is divided into several levels:

Part 4: Prioritisation

After scoring and on the basis of a possible scorecard, the requirements are prioritised. Based on these findings, s-peers submits proposals of solution variants with cost and benefit analysis.

The most favourable time for a migration to HANA, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, DWC is also determined and hybrid scenarios or transformations from on prem to the cloud are evaluated. In addition, alternative or different possible scenarios are developed, the costs for the respective processes are calculated and the time required is estimated.
